Our Story

The Quanoongo Productions was founded in Mississauga in 2022 with a simple belief; stories do not need to be comfortable to be worth telling.

We are interested in the parts of life that are often left unexplored, the contradictions within people, the relationships that shape us, the choices we carry, the things we inherit, and the truths that are easier to avoid than to confront. Our stories can be intimate or larger than life, rooted in a particular culture or drawn from something universally human. What matters to us is that they feel honest.

We believe good theatre does not tell an audience what to think. It gives them something worth thinking about. It creates room for different perspectives, even when they conflict, and allows people to recognize something of themselves in stories that may not initially feel familiar.

The Quanoongo Productions is a space for that kind of storytelling , work that is thoughtful without losing its edge, emotional without being sentimental, and willing to sit with complexity rather than resolve it too quickly.At its core, our work comes back to people: who we are, what shapes us, what we hide, what we carry, and what happens when we finally confront it.

That is the kind of work we want to put on a stage.
